Inflation

When the price of something we buy goes up it’s annoying, but when there is a rise in the general price level across the economy we call it inflation. This video provides a short explanation:

Inflation is caused by too much money chasing too few goods. Here is an old video of Milton Friedman attributing inflation to control of the money supply:

Note that he doesn’t blame government for creating inflation, he blames voters!
